A Visit from the Fire Brigade

We were so lucky to have the Howick Fire Brigade come and visit us last Wednesday.
They told us all about what they do and what we should do if there is a fire in our house.

We know that if our clothes catch on fire we need to stop, drop and roll. We had a practice of this.

We had to get down low and crawl out of the hall fast. This is what we need to do if there is a real fire.

We then got to go outside and have a look at the fire truck.

We were lucky enough to be able to climb in and have a look around!

We also learnt about what the firemen wear to keep them safe.

  1. More Good-Sorts - the fire service! It looks like you learnt some important messages with Stop-drop-roll and get low and get out! The fire engine has lots of equipment on it too!
