e is for elephant.

We have been learning the sound the letter E makes.
We now have a herd of elephants trampling their way through Room 9!!!

ANZAC Assembly

We have been learning about ANZAC Day and what ANZAC stands for:
Australian and New Zealand Army Corps

We have been thinking about how the soldiers were Heroes and how they fought to make New Zealand safe for us to live in today. We all wore a poppy for the Whole school Assembly.

Even Miss Bycroft and Mrs Burge wore a poppy.

We all sat very quietly while the Last Post was played.

St John Ambulance Writing

After St John Ambulance Service came to speak to us, we drew some pictures about the things we found out.
We used vivid to draw our pictures straight onto the paper - how impressive are these pictures????

Tinker Time

We have thoroughly enjoyed using the iron on beads to create some artwork.
Tinker time is so much fun.

Certificates

This week at our whole school assembly, two children from Room 9 received a certificate.

Well done to Leo and Phoenix!

They have both worked so hard!

A Wonderful Enviro Lesson

Room 9 had the best enviro lesson with Mrs Daniel last week!

They all went down to our school garden and dug out some kumara that had been growing in there. Then at lunch time Mrs Daniel went and cooked it for us!

Here we are enjoying the kumara that we got out of the garden ourselves.
