Measuring Each Other

On Friday Room 9 went outside with some some chalk to measure each other. 

We first had to draw around everyone in our group. The hard part was making sure that our feet all started in the same place!

We then used pointers to measure the length of our bodies.

What a fun activity it was!

Poi with Mrs Harding

This week Room 9 has been learning poi with Mrs Harding. 

We started off doing the dance altogether to get some practice. 

Then we split into groups and made up our own poi dance to the music.

A Super Assembly

The whole school assembly this week was awesome! 

Oscar and Melissa received certificates for their hard work. 

Then Room 9a won the assembly award.

Science in a Van

The Science in a van was so much fun. We laughed a lot as we were learning about Forces - Pushing and pulling which was acted out through the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff!

Room 9a ASB GetWise programme

Marlon taught us so much about coins and notes. We learned a song about how we need to save some, spend some and share some money. 

Marlon was funny - he made us laugh while we were learning.

We sorted coins and notes.

Elizabeth helped us to learn about saving, sharing and spending our money.

ASB GetWise

Last week we had Marlon from ASB come in to teach us about money. 

He taught us about the different types of money. 

He also told us that when we have money we should save some, spend some and share some. 

Room 9 absolutely loved this session.
