Everyday Heroes in Sunnyhills

Our new topic is all about everyday heroes and we were able to hear from some everyday heroes that are in our school!

We had the children who do road patrol come in and talk to us about what they do.

 They told us what they need to do to help us get across the road safely.

They showed us their bright jackets that they have to wear so that the cars can see them.

They help us to cross the road safely and this is why they are some of our everyday heroes. 

2D shapes

We have been learning about 2D shapes.

We used the shapes to make a picture, we drew around them and coloured them in to make lovely 2D shape pictures. 

New visitors for Room 9.

Vihan and Chanuthi had a lovely time painting, singing, drawing and playing. 

Vihan starts in Room 9 for rwal on Monday and we are so excited to see him in his uniform. 

Road safety with Constable Merv

Yesterday Room 9 was lucky enough to have Constable Merv Hotter come in and talk to us about being safe around roads and vehicles. 
We learnt all about how to stop, look and listen before we cross the street. 

Then we got to go out and practice crossing the road. We were good at it!

S is for Snakes

Room 9 was learning about the letter S and the sound that it makes. 

We all made some colourful snakes.
 Isn't it cool how they're all so different?

Room 9 are the best!

Last week at the whole school assembly, Jayden and Jaylee received the Principal's Award!

They have both been working hard in their learning.

Room 9 also won the trophy for being the best class in assembly!

A New Visitor in Room 9!

We had a new visitor today. Vihan came to Room 9.

Vihan's favourite song was 10 little speckled frogs!
