Diwali Performers

Last week we had some amazing performers come to Sunnyhills School and perform for us. 

They danced, played cultural instruments and shared some of their traditions and culture with us. 

This was an awesome way to celebrate in preparation for Diwali this week.

Yesterday we had some children come dressed up for Diwali. They looked wonderful!

Room 9 at Tread Lightly

Room 9 visited the Tread Lightly Caravan. 

We all loved the different activities that we got to do.

Tinker Time

This week we have been using Tinker Time a lot in the classroom. 

We had a go at using Osmo on the iPads. We had some children who learnt how to do it very quickly!

 

 

 

We also had some time with Beebot. We had to code him to get to different letters of the alphabet. 

Miss Hull's Last Day

It was Miss Hull's last day of her 5 week Practicum on Friday.

 Good luck for your last practicum Miss Hull. We will miss you. 

St John Visit

Yesterday we were visited by Nikoli from St John. 

We learnt about oxygen tanks and how they help us if we need it. 

We got to feel the air on our hand and if we were brave enough we could put it up to our face. 

Leo and Grace were lucky enough to put on some of the St John uniform.

We pretended that Andrea had fallen off her skateboard and Leo and Grace had to help bandage her up. 

Then we all got together with a partner and practiced using a bandage on their leg or arm. 

 Thank you so much for coming to visit us St John! We learnt so much.
